Tools for writers, students and editors
Whether you are hitting a word limit, cleaning up pasted text or comparing two drafts, these tools save you from doing it by hand.
Counting. The word counter shows words, characters, sentences, reading time and a readability score as you type. It also tracks character limits for posts, meta descriptions and text messages.
Formatting. The case converter switches text between upper case, title case, sentence case and the naming styles programmers use, such as camelCase and snake_case.
Comparing. The text diff tool highlights exactly which lines and words changed between two versions of a document, with side-by-side and unified views.
Placeholder text. The lorem ipsum generator creates filler paragraphs, sentences or list items for mock-ups and layouts, with a few alternative word packs if you want something other than Latin.
Private by design
Drafts are often confidential — a cover letter, a contract clause or an unpublished article. All of these tools process your text inside the browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server, and closing the tab clears it.
